This addition of garden walls, arbor, patio and fireplace was designed by a prominent Richmond, Virginia architect, Dan Ensminger. The homeowner’s came to Landesign to design a garden space within the walled garden and to integrate this new addition with the existing landscape. There was a large Carolina Snowbell as well as some other shrubbery that was transplanted to the new garden. The front of the house by the new garden was replanted to better blend with the new garden and to utilize plants that accentuated the architecture. A gravel path with stone edging takes you through the walled garden of colorful flowers and shrubs. Before After
